FUSHI HOUSE Ⅳ 木材放散成分を室内に満たす
FUSHI HOUSEには合成化学による刺激臭を放つ素材（パーティクルボード、クロス、塗料など）を一切使用していない。その代わり天然の香りを放つ木材を使っている。しかも、周辺地域の植生を調べ地域内で育った木材を選んでいる。物流の発達していない時代には、世界中でそのような地域資源を活用するサスティナブルな建築が作られていた。FUSHIが単なる懐古主義と異なるのは、周辺植生に合わせた木材を使うだけではなく、カンナ仕上げで無塗装とすることで、木材からの放散成分で室内を森林内と同じような空気質にできないかを試みている点である。これは木材の調湿性能とは別に、木材が放散する成分効能を新たな木材の付加価値とする試みである。
FUSHI HOUSE does not use any materials (particle board, cloth, paint, etc.) that emit pungent odors caused by synthetic chemistry. Instead, wood that emits a natural fragrance is used. In addition, we have researched the vegetation in the surrounding area and selected lumber grown in the area. What differentiates FUSHI from mere nostalgia is that it not only uses wood that matches the surrounding vegetation, but also tries to create an indoor air quality similar to that of a forest by using wood that has a Kanna finish and is not painted. This is an attempt to add value to the wood through the efficacy of the chemicals released from the wood, in addition to the humidity control properties of the wood.
