KURE Culture Participation Project
KURE was once part of everyday life in Hida.
People lived beneath KURE roofs, repaired them, and passed the knowledge from one generation to the next.
Today, very few people have an opportunity to encounter this tradition directly.
This project was created as a way to reconnect people with KURE culture.
Visitors are invited to write their names or messages on a KURE board. Each board is recorded and preserved as part of an ongoing effort to support the continuation of traditional wooden roofing culture.
The project began on June 11, 2026.
榑はかつて飛騨の暮らしの一部でした。人々は榑葺きの屋根の下で暮らし、修繕し、その知識を次の世代へ受け継いできました。
しかし現代では、この文化に直接触れる機会はほとんどありません。このプロジェクトは、人々が再び榑文化とつながるための試みです。
榑文化参加プロジェクトでは、来訪者が榑に名前や言葉を記し、その一枚を未来へ託します。
記名された榑は一枚ずつ記録・保管され、伝統的な板葺き文化を未来へつなぐ取り組みの一部となります。
このプロジェクトは2026年6月11日に飛騨の里で始まりました。
