FUSHI HOUSE Ⅵ  室内環境を整える木材

初めての夏を迎えたFUSHI HOUSE。ここ数年、夏の暑さが厳しさを増す中、訪問客が驚くことがある。それは一階の涼しさ。外気温34℃の日でも、室温は25℃。もちろんエアコンはない。熱伝導率の低い木壁+通気スペース+石で構成された壁は厚み30センチを超える。しかも、内壁の木材は無塗装のため、湿度調整をしてくれる上、木の成分を放散する。1階に使用した木材はヒノキやヒメコマツ、スギなどの針葉樹で、ピネン系の成分を多く放散し、人の覚醒安静状態を作り出し冷涼感をも感じさせる。さらに数種の木材を使用することで、空気中に放散される成分は多様となり、それは人にも優しい。木材は使い方次第で、室内環境調整装置になる。

FUSHI HOUSE is celebrating its first summer, and as the summer heat has become increasingly severe over the past few years, visitors have been surprised by one thing: the coolness of the ground floor. That is the coolness of the ground floor. Even on days when the outside temperature is 34°C, the room temperature is 25°C. Of course, there is no air conditioning. The walls, made of low thermal conductivity wood + ventilation space + stone, are over 30 cm thick. Furthermore, the wood of the internal walls is unpainted, which regulates humidity and also dissipates wood components; the wood used on the ground floor is coniferous wood such as cypress, Japanese cypress and cedar, which dissipates a lot of pinene-type components, creating a state of wakefulness and rest for the people, which also makes them feel cooler. Furthermore, by using several types of wood, the components released into the air become diverse, which is also friendly to people. Depending on how it is used, wood can be used as an indoor environmental regulator.
