To avoid wasting trees 　木を無駄にしないために

木材市場に並ぶ原木には、一定の基準が存在する。長さ、太さ、曲がり、樹種など、高値で売れるかもしれないものが並ぶ。では、それ以外の木々はどうなるか、ほとんどはチップと呼ばれる製紙のための原材料になっている。私が注目している樹木の成分は、長さも太さも曲がりも関係ない。

Certain criteria exist for the logs that line the lumber market. Length, thickness, bend, species, etc., that may be sold for a high price are lined up. Then what happens to the rest of the trees, most of which are used as raw material for paper production, called chips. The chemicals of the trees I am focusing on has nothing to do with length, thickness, or bend.
