牧野 泰之 Yoshiyuki Makino
日本の木工家であり、樹木効能研究家。 長年、トレーサビリティと持続可能を大切にした家具づくりをしている。近年は木材が放つ成分を研究し、その成分効能を活かした新しい木材活用に取り組んでいる。現在、減少の一途を辿る地域の製材所の一つを事業承継中である。

A Japanese woodworker and researcher of the beneficial effects of wood. For many years, he has been creating furniture with a focus on traceability and sustainability. Recently, he has been researching the components emitted by wood and working on new uses of wood that leverage these beneficial components. He is currently taking over the business of one of the local sawmills, which are in continuous decline. He is the president of FUSHI Ltd.

1969年 愛知県豊橋市生まれ 1990年 名古屋大学工学部を卒業（株）INAXに入社 6年後退社 1996年 岐阜高山の木工訓練校にて学ぶ 1997年 川上博一氏に師事し2年後独立 2001年 マキノ ウッド ワークス（MWW）を設立 飛騨の家具メーカーのOEMを行う 2005年 デザイナー・カルバン・クライン邸の家具を製作し納品のため渡米（建築は英建築家ジョン・ポーソン）2011年 飛騨高山産のナラ材を使った家具づくりを開始 2017年 飛騨牛の皮を使用した高級家具用革HIDA Leatherを開発（商標登録 第6001390） 2018年 駆除、廃棄されるジビエ皮を家具用革として開発 2019年 阿部藏之氏のもとで木の内科的アプローチを学び、木材から放散される成分の研究を開始 同年9月 デンマークより短期インターン希望者1名を受け入れる 2020年 木材放散成分を活用したCure Furnishing™を提唱 高山環境アレルギー対策センター設立 2022年 株式会社FUSHIを設立 同年11月 ジャパンハウスロンドンで行われたトークイベントにて、木材活用の専門家として英国側専門家と講演 岐阜県高山市在住
Born in 1969 in Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture. Graduated from the School of Engineering at Nagoya University in 1990 and joined INAX Corporation. After six years, he left the company. In 1996, he studied at the woodworking training school in Takayama, Gifu. In 1997, he apprenticed under Hiroichi Kawakami and became independent two years later. In 2001, he established Makino Wood Works (MWW), providing OEM services for furniture manufacturers in Hida Takayama. In 2005, he traveled to the U.S. to deliver furniture he made for the residence of designer Calvin Klein (the architecture was by British architect John Pawson). In 2011, he began making furniture using oak wood from Takayama, Hida. In 2017, he developed HIDA Leather, a high-quality leather for furniture made using Hida beef leather (trademark registered No. 6001390). In 2018, he developed furniture leather using the hides of wild game that were being culled and discarded. In 2019, he studied under Kurayuki Abe to learn about the internal medicinal approach to wood and began researching the components emitted by wood. In September of the same year, he accepted a short-term intern from Denmark. In 2020, he proposed Cure Furnishing™, utilizing the components emitted by wood, and established the Takayama Environmental Allergy Countermeasure Center. In 2022, he established FUSHI Corporation. In November of the same year, he lectured with British experts as a wood utilization specialist at a talk event at Japan House London. He currently resides in Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture.
